Project Overview
Thwaites Ltd, a leading manufacturer of site dumpers, undertook a significant redevelopment at their Cubbington facility to improve supply chain operations and support their production line expansion. Delivered over two distinct phases by 1 Eighty Roofing Solutions, the project involved a combination of over-roofing and new-build cladding works spanning over 12,000m2 across multiple structures.
● Phase 1: 5,000 m2 over-roof to existing Building B3
● Phase 2: 4,200 m2 new-build roof – Tata Platinum Plus specification
1,800 m2 new-build walls – Tata Platinum Plus
Timeline
● Phase 1: 2 April – 14 June 2024 (42 days)
● Phase 2: 18 November 2024 – 14 March 2025 (75 days)
Both phases were delivered on time and defect free, despite demanding site conditions and seasonal challenges.
● Phase 1: Installation over a live production facility required careful sequencing, coordination, and speed to minimise disruption.
● Tight Programmes: Both phases had limited durations, with zero margin for delay.
● Phase 2 Winter Conditions: Cold weather and shorter daylight hours added logistical pressure.

Fixing Point’s Involvement
Fixing Point supplied a full envelope of Tata-approved components, ensuring seamless specification compliance and build quality:

● Moulded Head FP+ Stainless Fixings for durability and warranty assurance
● FP+ Sealants and EPDM Fillers for weatherproofing and detail closure
Collaboration and Delivery
This project marked the fifth successful partnership between Interclass Plc and 1Eighty in two years. Fixing Point worked in close coordination with the Interclass team to ensure efficient supply and ongoing support throughout the programme.
